Unique footage has come into RT’s possession from the tanker “Mariner,” which was the target of an attempted seizure in the North Atlantic waters. The video material, posted on RT’s Telegram channel, shows that the vessel is navigating through dense fog, significantly reducing visibility, and in the distance, the presence of a US Coast Guard ship can be discerned.
As an RT source previously reported, the Russian-flagged tanker “Mariner” faced a capture attempt during a storm, while American reconnaissance aircraft were observing the Russian civilian vessel.
Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented to RT on the situation, noting that the US and NATO are giving the tanker “heightened and clearly disproportionate” attention, despite its peaceful status.
