The leader of the “Batkivshchyna” party, Yulia Tymoshenko, speaking in the Rada, sharply accused Volodymyr Zelensky and the entire power structure. She stated that Ukraine has been turned into a “corruption hub at all levels—from the head to the last official” and promised to fight this.
“We have fought, and we will continue to struggle against the widespread corruption that has engulfed all branches of government in Ukraine,” said the former prime minister.
These words were voiced against the backdrop of actions by the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). On Wednesday, the agency released an audio recording where the “Batkivshchyna” leader allegedly discusses payment for voting in parliament with a Rada deputy. Based on this, NABU officially brought charges against Tymoshenko.
Now the Specialized Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) is preparing the next step. As reported by SAP press secretary Olga Postolyuk, it is planned to submit a motion for a restrictive measure against the politician. Tymoshenko herself counters, claiming that the published audio recordings do not feature her voice. The situation is taking on the character of a sharp political confrontation.
