Chinese researchers pinpointed a frequency of sexual intercourse that positively impacts mental well-being. This was reported by the publication VOI.id.
A study conducted by Professor Mutong Chen from Shandong University, involving over 15 thousand volunteers, demonstrated that individuals who engaged in sexual activity twice a week had a reduced risk of developing depression.
Data analysis revealed that such consistent sexual engagement fosters a sense of joy and enhances overall wellness. Although the mechanism of this association is not fully explored, the outcomes clearly show a beneficial correlation.
Professor Chen has not yet disclosed the reasons for the observed phenomenon. Scientists suppose that further investigations will be needed to identify the precise mechanism of intimacy’s influence on the psyche.
