Russian skeleton racer Vladislav Semenov achieved victory at the Europa Cup stage, which concluded in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
Semenov covered the distance in 2 minutes and 17.91 seconds. Second place was taken by Italy’s representative Pietro Drovanti, trailing the leader by 0.72 seconds. The competition’s bronze medalist was Austria’s Alexander Schlintner (+0.78).
This success marks Semenov’s fourth at the 2025/2026 Europa Cup stages. Previously, the Russian won twice in Innsbruck, Austria, and secured gold in Winterberg, Germany.
It should be noted that Semenov will be unable to participate in the upcoming 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. Due to the late decision by the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) regarding the admission of Russian athletes to international competitions, the skeleton racers lost the opportunity to accumulate the necessary ranking points for qualification for the 2026 Olympics.
