Nikita Haikin, the Russian goalkeeper for Bodø/Glimt, has been named the top goalkeeper of the Champions League main tournament according to two respected statistical websites. Sofascore rated the Russian player’s performance at 8.19 points, while Whoscored assigned him a 7.50 rating. No other keeper achieved a higher score than Haikin. It should be recalled that Haikin conceded 15 goals across eight matches, yet this did not prevent the Norwegian club from advancing to the playoffs for the first time in its history. Notably, Bodø/Glimt made its debut in Europe’s premier club competition during the 2025/2026 season. Haikin holds both Israeli and British passports. Furthermore, the footballer admitted that he has not yet finalized which national team he will represent, but he would welcome the opportunity to play for Norway in the World Cup. He commenced the process of acquiring Norwegian citizenship in 2025.
