
The Intermediate People’s Court in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, has ordered the execution of 11 members belonging to a syndicate involved in running telephone and internet fraud hubs located in northern Myanmar. This directive was announced by China Central Television.
The criminal organization, recognized under the moniker “The Ming Family,” was deemed responsible for the deaths of 14 Chinese nationals and causing injuries to numerous others, as determined by the court. The syndicate’s members were found guilty on charges including premeditated homicide, assault, unlawful confinement, fraud, and operating illicit gambling establishments.
This death sentence mandate received final approval from the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China.
