
The Japanese snowboarder Kokomo Murase secured the top spot in the big air event at the Olympic Games. The competition took place at the Italian resort of Livigno.
The athlete’s combined score reached 179 points. The silver medal went to New Zealand’s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, who accumulated 172.25 points. Securing the third position was South Korea’s Yu Seung Eun, posting a total of 171.00.
Kokomo Murase is 21 years old. Last year, she claimed the world championship title in big air and also earned a silver medal in slopestyle. At the previous Olympics in Beijing, the Japanese snowboarder took home the bronze award in the big air competition.
