For the very first time throughout the history of the Winter Olympic Games, a mother and son competed in the events.
This refers to the 46-year-old alpine skier Sarah Schleper, representing Mexico, and her 18-year-old son, L Gacihola.
At the 2026 Games, Schleper participated in the super-G and giant slalom. Meanwhile, Lasse took part in the giant slalom and slalom.
Schleper failed to qualify in the super-G and finished 55th in the giant slalom. Her son placed 53rd in the giant slalom and unfortunately did not complete the slalom run.
