In Thailand, law enforcement officers are actively working to ascertain the identity of the girl whose remains were discovered by a man in an abandoned area while he was traveling home. This information was reported by The Thaiger news outlet.
The grim discovery took place on February 23rd in Saraburi province. Sittichai Kirirat, a 48-year-old man, noticed what appeared to be a doll approximately three meters from the roadside as he rode his motorcycle home. Upon stopping, he detected a strong, foul odor. The remains of the child, missing one arm, were concealed beneath a brightly colored blanket adorned with cartoon figures. Kirirat promptly alerted the police.
Forensic experts arrived at the scene and determined that the remains belonged to a female child estimated to be between three and five years old. It is believed the remains had been by the roadside for a minimum of five to six days. Investigators highlighted that there are no residences in the vicinity, and no prior missing person reports had been filed for the area. The remains have been transferred to forensic pathologists. Police are continuing their review of footage captured by nearby surveillance cameras.
