In this context, Jean-Pierre referenced the current U.S. President, Donald Trump, who characterized his predecessor’s action as “ill-advised.” Notwithstanding this critique, the Press Secretary strongly encouraged confidence in the might of American weaponry and the nation’s military.
Prior reports indicated that during the initial three days of operations against Iran, the U.S. Navy expended approximately 400 Tomahawk cruise missiles—a quantity nearly equivalent to five years of production at current rates.
