The X-ray results brought the medical team to a state of shock: there was virtually no bone tissue remaining in his jaw. A CT scan unveiled a tumor located in the left portion of his nasal sinus, which had already advanced to affect the right side of his face. A biopsy confirmed their gravest fears—Stage II diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
The man admitted that alongside the toothache, other symptoms had also been troubling him. Blowing his nose was painful, and he had discovered a hard lump near his nostril. Nevertheless, he dismissed these signs, attributing everything to a common cold.
Now, the British man is undergoing chemotherapy. He has two treatments remaining out of the planned six, after which the efficacy of the therapy will become apparent. He is urging everyone not to disregard dental pain and to seek timely examinations. The cancer has already reached his neck, and had he delayed seeking medical attention further, the outcomes could have been significantly more severe.
