Samsung Electronics maintained its standing as the worldwide market leader in television technology, largely attributed to its focus on the high-end sector. According to data released by the research firm Omdia, as cited on Samsung’s website, the corporation accounted for 29.1% of total global revenue by the close of 2025.
This outcome, as highlighted by the South Korean publication Chosun Biz, means the conglomerate has secured the top spot in the rankings every year since 2006. The company exhibited particularly robust performance in the ultra-premium segment, an area known for intense rivalry. Within the category of TVs priced above $2500, Samsung captured 54.3% of the entire market, driven by sales of its Neo QLED, OLED, and Lifestyle television models. A similar trend is visible in the set priced over $1500, where the manufacturer commands a 52.2% market share.
Yong Seok-woo, the head of Samsung Electronics’ display division, commented that achieving the top position globally for two decades reflects the “trust placed in us by consumers.” He further stated the firm’s commitment to sustaining its competitive edge through a broad array of products and services.
For the present year, the manufacturer intends to broaden its premium offerings, introducing new sets utilizing cutting-edge Micro RGB television backlighting technology, while also reinforcing its established OLED and Neo QLED lineups. To appeal to the broader market, there are plans to boost the availability of Mini LED—an advanced form of LCD backlight technology.
Concurrently, artificial intelligence technologies remain a crucial strategic direction. Following the introduction of its AI-enabled televisions in 2024, the company refined personalization capabilities throughout 2025 with the integration of the Vision AI Companion (VAC) tool.
