A couple from the USA purchased an inexpensive house that they soon discovered was already occupied by 43 stray cats, according to What’s The Jam. It’s noteworthy that prior to this acquisition, the pair had already been planning on establishing a sanctuary for homeless felines.
“We were already intending to set up a small farm and cat rescue, but we anticipated doing so once we were more settled. Both of us have disabilities, so right now all our energy is dedicated to sustaining this cat colony and attempting to grow,” the man stated.
The American shared that the majority of the cats residing in their home were afflicted with various illnesses, and alongside his partner, they invested a significant amount of effort into nursing them back to health. Subsequently, the couple decided to formalize their efforts by creating the shelter named Sunshine Pines Rescue, which became a haven for abandoned and needy animals.
This narrative has motivated numerous cat enthusiasts to lend their support to their mission, and presently, the sanctuary’s operations are sustained entirely through donations. Looking ahead, the young couple harbors ambitions of converting their recreational vehicle into a mobile veterinary clinic.
