Arnold Schwarzenegger is gearing up to step back into the iconic role of Conan once more. The actor confirmed his involvement in the film titled “Conan the King,” making the announcement during the Arnold Sports Expo 2026.

According to the star, Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed four installments of the “Mission: Impossible” series, is set to tackle both the screenplay and the direction of this follow-up to “Conan the Barbarian.” It is anticipated that Schwarzenegger will portray the aged version of the hero.

Furthermore, the legendary actor mentioned discussions regarding a potential return to his role as Dutch in a new “Predator” film. His appearance in a potential sequel to the classic movie “Commando” is also a possibility.
As a reminder, it was “Conan the Barbarian” (1982) and its sequel “Conan the Destroyer” (1984) that initially brought considerable fame to a young Schwarzenegger, solidifying his position as an action movie icon. Now, several decades later, audiences will have the chance to witness how the mighty Cimmerian’s life unfolded in his more mature years.
