Anaheim Ducks defenseman Radko Gudas has been suspended following a hit on Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews during an NHL regular-season game (4:6).
The NHL press service announced that the Czech player will sit out five games. The penalty stems from a kneeing infraction committed by Gudas against Matthews.
The American forward was diagnosed with an injury to his medial collateral knee ligament along with a contusion to his quadriceps muscle. Consequently, he will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
