The remains of a woman and her two children, who had been missing for six weeks, have been found in the US state of Alabama. According to Local 12, citing the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the bodies were interred in a wooded area.
Aurelia Choc disappeared on January 31st, accompanied by her 17-year-old daughter, Nurka Zuleta Choc, and her two-year-old son, Anthony Garcia Choc. Their whereabouts remained unknown throughout this period.
On March 13th, law enforcement announced the discovery of remains positively identified as all three individuals. The deceased had reportedly been wrapped in plastic and buried on a tract of forest land.
A suspect was apprehended as early as February 9th. This individual was identified as 31-year-old Juan Carlos Argueta Guerra. Initially investigated for the family’s abduction, he now faces charges including homicide, burglary, and abuse of a corpse.
