Spain has sealed off its airspace to aircraft involved in the operation initiated by the United States and Israel against Iran. This was announced by the kingdom’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.
Transit or landings for aircraft participating in the operation targeting Iran will only be permitted within Spain under emergency circumstances, according to El País.
However, the U.S. Air Force retains the capability to utilize its air bases situated in Spain, as all obligations outlined in the agreement between Madrid and Washington, specifically concerning logistical support for American military forces in Europe, continue to be executed as normal.
