Researchers from the Microbiology Department at Volgograd State Medical University decided to draw attention to a frequently overlooked hazard: mobile phones. They conducted an experiment that clearly demonstrated how dangerous pathogens capable of causing sepsis accumulate on device surfaces.
According to “Volgogradskaya Pravda.ru,” their examination of mobile phone exteriors revealed a vast quantity of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The latter is considered the most perilous, as its presence leads to numerous serious illnesses.
The scientists point out that microbes can transfer to gadget casings and screens through various means, such as handshakes, contact with shared objects, and even airborne transmission. Consequently, it is crucial to clean your phone with alcohol wipes or antiseptics at least twice daily.
