The insider seems confident in this prediction but has not disclosed which colors will take the place of black. Mark Gurman previously mentioned that Apple is exploring a dark red option while generally steering clear of overly bright colors across its lineup.
Currently, black is absent from the Pro series; the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models are available in orange, silver, and blue. The black finish is exclusively offered on the standard iPhone 17.
Experts speculate that the company might be saving the black colorway specifically for its inaugural foldable iPhone, which is anticipated to debut in the fall of 2026. The unveiling of the new iPhone 18 Pro models is likewise scheduled for sometime this year.
