
On April 4th, a driver under the influence crashed into a crowd of people during a celebration of the Laotian New Year in Louisiana, USA. Local television station Fox 15 reported this, citing the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
According to official sources, several of the injured sustained significant harm. Eleven individuals required ground transport to leave the scene of the occurrence, while two others necessitated helicopter evacuation.
The driver who drove into the crowd has been apprehended. The sheriff’s department is currently operating under the assumption that the incident was unintentional.
It remains uncertain whether the festival will proceed on April 5th as originally scheduled.
