Sony is carrying on with a significant purge of low-quality material from the PlayStation Store, with a fresh wave of delistings impacting the catalogs of three different publishers simultaneously.
Reports from PSNProfiles and Eurogamer indicate that titles from GoGame Console Publisher, VRCForge Studios, and Welding Byte have been completely removed from the service. The slate of deleted games includes items such as Urban Driver Simulator, Water Blast Shooter – Wet Gun, Racing Car Chaos: Extreme Stunt Showdown, Supermarket CEO Simulator, and Jesus Simulator.
Typically, such games are developed with minimal investment and fall into two main categories: inexpensive imitations of trending hits or simplistic offerings designed primarily for quickly unlocking “Platinum” trophies. A significant number of these are also being produced with heavy reliance on artificial intelligence tools.
For instance, Jesus Simulator had only been on the market for a month. This title from VRCForge Studios allowed players to experience the life of Jesus Christ, but it faced heavy criticism from users due to its AI-generated assets, barren game world, and poor conversational writing. Nevertheless, some segments of the player base acknowledged the game’s potential educational aspects.
It is speculated that this tightening of moderation standards stems from the Shared Commitment to Safer Gaming initiative, a program involving Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, which aims to safeguard consumers from unscrupulous content practices.
This follows earlier large-scale removals: in January 2026, Sony erased over 1,000 repetitive games from the publisher ThiGames via the PlayStation Store, and late last March, more than 700 projects from Nostra Games met the same fate.
