The newspaper stated that Radazzo’s labor pains began right in the middle of the court session. She was compelled to deliver without adequate medical support, witnessed by court personnel and law enforcement officers.
This episode triggered strong condemnation from human rights organizations. They called for a thorough investigation and a review of the custodial standards for pregnant detainees.
