
According to The Ring magazine, all tickets for the bout between the 39-year-old professional boxer and unified world heavyweight champion, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, and the 37-year-old Dutch heavyweight kickboxer Rico Verhoeven have been completely sold out.
The boxing event, presented by Riyadh Season, is scheduled for May 23 in Egypt, where Usyk will make a voluntary defense of his WBC title against Verhoeven. DAZN will broadcast the tournament, and the sports portal “Championat” will provide live text commentary.
Usyk’s professional record boasts 24 victories, 15 of which came by knockout, with no defeats. Oleksandr made his professional debut in November 2013. Verhoeven, on the other hand, is regarded as one of the greatest kickboxers of all time. The Dutchman held the Glory heavyweight championship title for 4,220 days, equating to over 11 years, securing 26 consecutive wins under the Glory banner as champion. Furthermore, Verhoeven holds the organization’s record for the most title fight victories (14).
