
Norway’s national team defeated Latvia’s team with a score of 2-0 on May 28th, in a quarterfinal match of the Ice Hockey World Championship. The tournament is currently taking place in Switzerland.
Tinus Koblar scored in the 28th minute, and Noah Steen added another goal in the 60th minute, marking the successful shots for Norway. According to “Sport-Express”, the Norwegian team’s goaltender, Henrik Haukeland, has not allowed any goals in his third game of the tournament, positioning him as the leader in this category.
This marks the first time in history that the Norwegian national team has advanced to the semifinals of the World Championship.
On May 21st, Finland’s national team beat the Czech Republic’s team 4-1 in a quarterfinal game of the Ice Hockey World Championship. For the winning Finnish team, Sakari Manninen, Anton Lundell, Konsta Helenius, and Lenni Hämeenaho all found the back of the net.
