Mirra Andreeva, a Russian tennis player, has emerged as one of the youngest champions of Grand Slam tournaments in the 21st century.
In the final of the 2026 French Open, the Russian convincingly defeated Poland’s Maja Chwalińska, who is ranked 114th in the world, with a score of 6:3, 6:2.
This victory has placed Andreeva among the youngest Grand Slam title winners of the 21st century. Notable among athletes who achieved such success at a young age are Russia’s Maria Sharapova, who won Wimbledon in 2004 at the age of 17, and Britain’s Emma Raducanu, who claimed the US Open title in 2021 at 18 years old.
