A Canadian woman named Heather May claims to have experienced the afterlife after surviving cardiac arrest. She recounted her near-death experience to the publication Mirror. Though previously not a believer in God, May stated upon her revival that she had glimpsed the world beyond and received a message from it.
The event transpired during a family meal. May suddenly felt unwell, prompting her relatives to call for an ambulance. En route to the hospital, she was diagnosed with arterial blockage. She lost consciousness and described feeling completely enveloped in darkness, with no sounds or discernible shapes. After a period, a light appeared, and May found herself in paradise. There, she encountered her great-grandmother, great-grandfather, aunt, uncle, and other deceased acquaintances.
Within this heavenly realm, May was presented with a golden orb. Images of humanity’s future were projected within it. According to May, she witnessed numerous global conflicts, widespread famine, and other calamities. She described the experience as both frightening and profoundly uplifting. Her clinical death lasted only a few minutes, but the subjective time she spent in the otherworldly realm felt significantly longer.
