U.S. Vice President JD Vance has set up a chicken coop at his official residence situated on the grounds of the Naval Observatory in Washington. This was reported on June 19 by the Daily Mail newspaper, citing a segment from journalist Allie Beth Stuckey’s podcast on Blaze TV.
The American politician admitted that he had long dreamed of taking up poultry farming. According to him, the chicken coop is designed in a Victorian style that matches the architecture of the residence itself. Vance called the structure the “Taj Mahal of chicken coops” and specified that it already houses 15 chicks. The Vice President also noted that he initially doubted whether this hobby would interest his children, but now they spend a lot of time there.
“It turns out, they absolutely adore the chickens. It’s kind of weird, actually. I’m afraid they’re going to turn into bizarre chicken fanatics because they’ll be obsessed with wanting to go hang out with the chickens and sit in the coop. It stinks in there, and there’s droppings everywhere,” Vance shared.
On April 28, U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania showed the King of the United Kingdom, Charles III, and his wife a new beehive designed in the shape of the White House. The American leader’s administration clarified that the open and expanded beehive is located on the south lawn of the official residence.
