XDA portal editor Hamlin Rosario has urged Samsung smartphone owners to remove a number of pre-installed applications. In his view, many of these programs not only fall short of popular alternatives but also annoy users with intrusive ads, limited functionality, and technical flaws.
Topping the list of apps to delete was the proprietary Samsung Browser. The journalist noted that it is inconvenient for users of Chrome, Firefox, or other browsers. Bookmark and history synchronization across different platforms does not work in it. He also criticized the Samsung Notes app for lacking full cloud synchronization and support on other devices.
Furthermore, Rosario labeled the streaming service Samsung TV Plus as harmful, as it is actually overloaded with commercial breaks.
