Google has announced the resolution of over one hundred vulnerabilities in the Android operating system, as highlighted by Notebookcheck.
The publication noted that Android users received a major security update in June, split into two parts: the first was released after June 1, and the second after June 5. The journalists calculated that the patches addressed a total of 124 flaws.
The most critical was identified as vulnerability CVE-2025-48595, which is actively being exploited by attackers. This system-level loophole allows malicious actors to gain elevated privileges on a device without any intervention from the owner. The flaw affects phones running Android 14, 15, and 16.
Google has not specified when specific Android devices will receive the corresponding update. Notebookcheck journalists explained that the timeline depends on smartphone manufacturers. For instance, companies like Google and Samsung are typically among the first to develop and distribute updates.
