In New York, after the summer break, human remains were found in the chimney of a school building. This was reported by ABC 7.
The grim discovery was made by a school employee. He noticed a strong odor and called in a pest control specialist, suspecting the presence of vermin. While inspecting the chimney, the specialist spotted a shoe, and then a human leg. Police and emergency services were subsequently alerted.
It is known that the school was closed for renovations, with only workers from contracting companies present in the building. Police are now working to identify the deceased and interviewing potential witnesses. According to one theory, the individual may have accidentally fallen into the chimney shaft.
