The French national team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
On July 5, the squad defeated Paraguay with a narrow 1-0 victory in the Round of 16.
France has now reached the World Cup quarterfinals for the fourth consecutive time. In 2014, the French made it to the last eight but lost to Germany (0-1); in 2018, they became world champions; and in 2022, they took home the silver medals.
In the quarterfinals, Didier Deschamps’ team will face Morocco. The match is scheduled for July 9 in Foxborough, USA.
