The serial production of the fully electric C-Class has officially begun at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Hungary. This marks the first electric model from the brand to be manufactured at this facility. In the near future, a version with an extended wheelbase, intended for the Chinese market, is also expected.
Technical Specifications
The new model is built on an 800-volt platform and comes equipped with air suspension, rear-axle steering, the new eATS 2.0 electric drive system, and a two-speed transmission.
A dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers 360 kW (490 hp) and 590 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h.
The electric vehicle features a traction battery with a capacity of 94 kWh, providing a driving range of up to 762 km according to the WLTP cycle. With fast charging capabilities of up to 330 kW, it can add approximately 325 km of range in just 10 minutes, and charging the battery from 10% to 80% takes only 22 minutes.
