The UEFA Champions League has undergone a significant overhaul for the 2026–27 season. The traditional group stage has been replaced by a single league table format. A total of 36 teams will participate, and each club will play eight matches against eight different opponents — four at home and four away. The соперников are determined by a draw, and after all matches, the top eight teams will automatically qualify for the round of 16. Teams ranked from ninth to 24th will compete in a two-legged play-off round to join them.
