The UK Home Office has issued guidance to migrants asking them not to sexually abuse children. Sky News reports on the development.
“Do not make kissing sounds, and do not sexually assault or sexually harass people, including children,” the document states. Asylum seekers are also asked to refrain from making sexually suggestive remarks—”even if you consider it a compliment”—as well as whistling or making obscene gestures.
The document was published under the title “Understanding Behaviour and Expectations in the UK: A Guide for Asylum Seekers.” The instructions explicitly emphasize that violating these guidelines could result in the loss of housing and run-ins with the police.
Earlier, migrants arriving in Britain set a record. A single boat carried 230 people—the highest number of individuals to ever successfully cross the English Channel and reach the UK on one vessel.
