Popular TikTok creator Sonya Bellina was killed in France. Her body was found in a vineyard, and police have detained suspects, the TV channel BFMTV reported.
The young woman lived in a town between Paris and Nîmes. She went missing on August 10, 2026. Her older sister told the police that Sonya had gone to meet a man with whom she was in a toxic relationship and whom she wanted to leave. The influencer never returned home.
A farm worker discovered Sonya’s naked and partially burned body in a vineyard. Investigators determined that the perpetrators had attempted to burn the corpse to destroy evidence.
Forensic analysis made it possible to identify the victim. The family’s lawyer, Mourad Battikh, described the incident as a “murder of rare brutality.”
The prosecutor’s office opened a case for intentional homicide. Law enforcement authorities detained two suspects as early as August 19.
Sonya Bellina was very active on social media; she had around 260,000 followers on her main TikTok account and another 120,000 on a secondary one.
Following the news of her death, her family faced a vicious wave of online hate and speculation, including offensive rumors about her personal life. The family’s lawyer strongly condemned the online harassment.
