Details have emerged regarding a new tragedy—sparked by a quest for “viral video” content and social media likes—that claimed seven lives on the road.
According to Metro, a Volkswagen Passat carrying five teenagers was traveling against the flow of traffic on a busy highway. At one point, the vehicle collided with a police car. The crash resulted in the deaths of seven people, including two law enforcement officers.
The tragedy occurred on the A66 highway in England. Earlier reports detailed a similar incident in Ireland, where five teenagers speeding the wrong way in a BMW—seeking social media likes—crashed into a Hyundai carrying a family (who miraculously survived). Local journalists reported that one of the deceased teenagers was buried in a gold coffin.
