Eight people died in Billings, Montana, following a domestic dispute that resulted in a shooting and a fire, ABC News reported.
The tragedy occurred on the evening of August 23 at a private residence.
“We believe it started with a domestic dispute,” Yellowstone County Sheriff Kent O’Donnell said during a briefing.
According to police, a 911 call was received reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found the house fully engulfed in flames. Four adults and four children reportedly died in the incident.
Shootings occur regularly in the United States. For instance, on August 15, one person was killed and five others were wounded in a shooting at a park in Lexington, Kentucky. The victims included a four-year-old child, a 14-year-old teenager, and two adults.
