Manchester City has announced on its official website the signing of Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernández from Chelsea. The 25-year-old Argentine has signed a contract running until 2031.
“At Manchester City, we always aim to bring in world-class players, and Enzo fits that description perfectly. He is a versatile midfielder: technically gifted, hardworking, tenacious, and capable of scoring goals. He is adept at various styles of football; he is comfortable playing a possession-based game but can also be effective on the counter-attack,” noted City’s sporting director, Hugo Viana.
Fernández had been playing for Chelsea since 2023. During his time there, he made 31 appearances across all competitions, scoring 30 goals and providing 31 assists. With the London club, he won the Conference League in the 2024/25 season and the 2025 Club World Cup.
