37-year-old “The Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev was the subject of an awkward moment at the opening of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. Dobrev stopped in front of photographers and began posing, but lasted less than a minute. A man in a black suit—presumably a security guard—approached her, tapped his watch, and gestured for her to move on. The actress looked confused, but tried to squeeze in a few more seconds: she turned to the cameras and struck another playful pose. However, another security guard soon approached her and urged her to leave the filming area. Dobrev stepped aside with a sullen expression, waved at the photographers, and continued down the red carpet.
Video of the incident quickly spread across social media, sparking a furious reaction.

Therefore, their outrage is more than justified.
But Dobrev’s appearance at the Venice Film Festival wasn’t limited to just one unpleasant moment. The actress’s outfit became one of the festival’s main fashion themes. Vogue included Nina’s look among the most striking, and fashion publications noted the striking contrast of black sequins and olive-green chiffon.
