Organizers of the national beauty pageant, as well as her family and friends, announced her passing, the Daily Mail reports.

Sisic won the Miss Austria title in 2024. As the pageant was not held in 2025 or 2026, she remained the reigning titleholder.
“We will remember Lucia as a beautiful young woman. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, and all those close to her during this difficult time,” the pageant organizers said in a statement.
Sisic was born with a heart valve defect and had undergone seven heart surgeries and other cardiac procedures. The last of these took place in late 2025; following the procedure, she reported that the treatment had been successful and expressed hope that she would not need further surgeries for several years.
However, the official cause of the 22-year-old model’s death has not yet been disclosed. There is no confirmed information linking her death to her heart condition.
