Psychologist Jennice Vilhauer, a member of the scientific advisory board for the study of unidentified anomalous phenomena, has announced that the US is preparing an action plan for the eventuality that the existence of UFOs is confirmed.
In an article published on her LinkedIn page, Vilhauer notes that the document outlines the US authorities’ readiness to coordinate international efforts should the need arise. However, she emphasized that the existence of such a plan does not imply that the US has confirmed the existence of extraterrestrial life, nor does it signal preparations for an imminent official announcement.
She noted that the very fact such a document is being developed demonstrates that the possibility of discovering extraterrestrial intelligence is being taken seriously.
In July, the United States declassified another batch of documents containing information on UFOs and various anomalies. A total of 40 new files were released, comprising 14 documents and 19 videos. The new batch also included four audio recordings and three photographs.
