Xiaomi officially launched its 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max flagships on September 23, becoming the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s new 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chips, respectively. Both OLED displays reach a staggering 4,000 nits peak brightness with 2K+ resolution and adaptive 120 Hz refresh rates. The smaller 18 Pro packs a 7,000 mAh battery, while the Pro Max houses an 8,500 mAh cell — both supporting 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.
Each model features dual 200-megapixel camera sensors co-developed with Leica, plus a secondary rear display for notifications and widgets — a design element Xiaomi has refined across generations. The Pro Max variant includes an advanced cooling system to manage the Extreme chip’s higher clock speeds of up to 5 GHz. Pre-orders are live in China, with global availability confirmed for later in 2026.
