American Christa Gail Pike, who survived an attempt to carry out her death sentence, is in critical condition. This was reported by the local newspaper The Tennessean, citing the convicted woman’s lawyers.
The execution attempt took place on September 30 in Tennessee. Lethal injection was used to carry out the sentence; however, Pike remained alive after the drugs were administered.
