A teenager suffered clinical death following a drug overdose and has recounted his experience. The incident occurred at home in the presence of his younger brother, who immediately began resuscitation efforts. The story was reported by the British newspaper The Mirror.
According to the young man, the moment of passing felt like drifting into a deep sleep. Describing the state “on the other side,” he noted an absolute void—devoid of people or space—and said he was not even aware that he had died.
The overdose caused a stroke, followed by respiratory arrest. His brother performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until paramedics arrived; they administered naloxone and managed to restore a faint pulse. The 19-year-old spent three to four weeks in a coma and subsequently underwent a lengthy rehabilitation process.
He has since completely given up hard drugs, returned to his normal life, regained his ability to work, and is employed at a local eatery.
