The Dallas Mavericks have traded All-Star forward Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards in a nine-player deal. The swap also involved D’Angelo Russell, Jaden Hardy, and Dante Exum from Dallas, while Washington sent back Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, plus multiple draft picks (including unprotected first-round selections and protected picks from other teams). For the Mavericks, the move helps them shed heavy contracts and move closer to the luxury tax line. The Wizards, meanwhile, bolster their frontline alongside Trae Young.
