Some Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners have encountered an error after installing the One UI 9 update. While the update installs successfully, an “Access Denied” XML message appears during the initial phone setup, preventing users from reaching the home screen.
According to reports from users on Reddit, the issue affects devices in the Galaxy S26, S25, and S24 series, as well as Samsung’s foldable smartphones.
The error may be linked to changes made to Samsung’s servers—intended to prevent firmware leaks—though the company has not yet confirmed this theory.
Some users have managed to resolve the issue by force-restarting their devices and entering Safe Mode. From there, they disabled both Wi-Fi and mobile data before restarting the phone again, keeping it disconnected from any network.
