Physicists from the International School for Advanced Studies in Italy have presented a new model clarifying one of the most obscure stages in the history of the Universe – the era of early matter domination. According to the scientists’ calculations, published in Physical Review D, this “intermediate” epoch was saturated with processes that dramatically changed the young Universe. The cooling of primordial particles led to cardinal changes in the structure of the young Universe, creating conditions for the formation of both ordinary and exotic cosmic objects. The researchers emphasize the limitations of current knowledge about transitional periods in cosmic evolution.
