According to him, drinking alcoholic beverages increases the likelihood of developing more than 200 diseases. Cordova noted that alcohol can lead to serious problems such as hypertension, heart failure, stroke, liver cirrhosis, arrhythmia, and deficiencies in various vitamins. Furthermore, it increases estrogen levels in the body and raises the risk of developing several types of cancer. The doctor explained that alcohol abuse is inextricably linked to cancers of the mouth, throat, larynx, esophagus, colon, liver, and breast. According to him, daily consumption of one serving of alcohol over many years increases the risk of breast and colon cancer by 10-20%. When consuming five servings of alcohol per day for several years, this risk increases to 50%.
