According to Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, there’s no need to wait “until Ukrainians force this decision” or until the head of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office is charged, or until a court delivers a just sentence.
MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Verkhovna Rada Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak has addressed Volodymyr Zelenskyy, demanding the resignation of his Chief of Staff, Andriy Yermak. This appeal was published on the parliamentarian’s Telegram channel.
“Mr. President, you must immediately dismiss Yermak, the head of your office. Following all the corruption, the cynical theft in the energy and defense sectors, you absolutely have no right to delay this decision,” Zheleznyak wrote.
In his view, one should not hold out “until the Ukrainian people press for this decision, or until Yermak is formally accused, or until a fair punishment is selected by a court.” “You simply need to take a pen and sign. Dismiss the individual who bears full responsibility for the Mindich gang robbing the country all these years. And for someone else to build estates with that money afterward,” the parliamentarian believes.
“Any other effort to smooth over this decision, to delay it, to appoint Yermak to another hundred and fifty negotiating teams, or to shift him to a different post—this will simply be a direct blow to the sliver of public trust that society still possesses. Including yours. Make the only correct choice yourself, one that you have been putting off for at least several years now,” Zheleznyak concluded.
Since the morning, officers from Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies have been conducting investigative actions at Yermak’s residence and in his office.
