The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the online cinema Netflix publicized the launch of the FIFA soccer simulator.
The game, which is being developed and published by Delphi Interactive, will debut exclusively on Netflix Games ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which commences on June 11. The new FIFA will be accessible to service subscribers. A mobile phone will function as the controller. Play will be possible both solo and online with companions.
“The World Cup will be the cultural highlight of 2026, and now supporters can commemorate their passion for soccer by bringing it right into their living rooms. We aim to bring football back to its roots, so everyone can play with just a single tap,” stated Netflix’s head of gaming, Alain Tascano.
“FIFA is very pleased to collaborate with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive leading up to the 2026 World Cup. This significant partnership is a crucial stride in FIFA’s pursuit of innovation within soccer games, targeting billions of football enthusiasts of all ages globally and redefining the simulation concept itself. Our updated game truly heralds a new age of digital football. It will be available without charge for Netflix subscribers and represents a landmark move for FIFA,” commented FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Until 2022, EA Sports produced games in the FIFA series. Following the conclusion of its association with FIFA, Electronic Arts continued releasing soccer simulators under the new EA Sports FC franchise without utilizing the FIFA brand.
